The other day I happened to catch a glimpse of my mom’s reflection in our car window, while we drove back home one night after visiting family. Not that I’ve never seen her reflection before, but I saw something quite different in that moment.
I saw a virtual image of my mother. A virtual image, as opposed to something real and tangible.
I suddenly realised how, one day, that’s all I’d have left of her. This virtual image in my head.
Yes, that sounds quite depro. Well it was.
But it was really profound at the same time.
I suddenly appreciated having her so close so much more.
I don’t want to take anyone for granted and then one day, in a sudden unexpected moment, have to regret that forever.
Cliche? Yup. Insanely too true? Bigger yup.

ash that is seriously awesome.
i really hold to this truth.
the world does not need more actors, or singers, or rich people or sportsmen.
the world needs more deep people.
this is deep! awesome stuff!
a cool thing… on the flip side for those following Jesus, he says in http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20corinthians%2013&version=NIV
in verse 12: “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
we now see just a reflection. But soon we will see face to face. that’s super cool news. that’s worth living for!
Wow! Awesome scripture!! Thanks D 🙂
